Introduction

“It is my great pleasure to announce the KDMA Conference for 2018, which will be in my fourth term as president. I have appointed ABC Travel working with Domenica and Peter Redford. I am sure you will all know the product that they present. Rosemary and I decided upon this destination last year when we travelled to Alsace to our granddaughter’s Baptism into the Republic of France in Alsace. We fell in love with this region which we are sure you will as well which includes scenery, culture, language, history, food, wine and music in a uniquely French and German region” (John Beattie – President)

KDMA Conference

Day 1 – Thursday 31 May 2018

Delegates arrive in Switzerland. Private transfers will be organised from Geneva Airport. You will be transferred to your lake view room at the prestigious Fairmont Palace hotel in Montreux. This evening join the KDMA delegation for a welcome cocktail party.

Day 2 – Friday 01 June 2018

Do you dream of visiting a real chocolate factory? Maison Cailler,will open the doors for you to explore Cailler’s chocolate world and where you will create your very own chocolate bar. Experience with all your senses the secrets around the origins and manufacturing of Cailler chocolate. An exclusive “by invitation only” evening awaits you at Claude Nobs Chalet. Claude Nobs was the founder of the Montreux Jazz festival one of the greatest music festivals in the world.

Corsica 9 – 16 June 2018

Day 10 – Saturday 09 June 2018

After breakfast the delegates participating in the post conference tour will be transferred to the airport for their flight to Ajaccio, Corsica. On arrival you will be transferred to the Sofitel Golfe d’Ajaccio Thalassa. Free afternoon for a leisurely walk or perhaps take in a relaxing massage or simply enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Day 11 – Sunday 10 June 2018

Visit Filitosa jewel of Corsica’s megalithic art and considered by scientists as one of the most mysterious cultural sites of the Mediterranean, as well as one of the most beautiful prehistoric art collections in Europe, Filitosa provides an overview of 8,000 years of human history.

Day 12 – Monday 11 June 2018

After breakfast you will partake in a city tour of Ajaccio which appears like a jewel set in a crown, with its port protected by an imposing citadel. When you stroll along the seafront and in the neighbouring narrow streets that were the childhood home of Napoleon Bonaparte you will certainly be swept away by the romantic atmosphere, the memory of Napoleon is present everywhere. Free afternoon.

Day 13 – Tuesday 12 June 2018

You will leave Ajaccio to travel to the lively town of Calvi with its stunning waterfront. Your tour includes a stop in charming Corte with its interesting museum and citadel. You will take a delightful train ride to the highest point, where you will enjoy a guided tour.

Day 14 – Wednesday 13 June 2018

Today you will visit Bonifacio, a multifaceted jewel which reveals, for whom who know how to look at it, many treasures and fascinating stories. The countryside itself is an integral part of the visit and deserves as much time as the high medieval town, the marina or the seaside.

Day 15 – Thursday 14 June 2018

Enjoy your day at leisure. Tonight immerse yourself in pure Corsican culture and cuisine at your farewell dinner.

Day 16 – Friday 15 June 2018

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport. End of services.
