The Australian summer cruise season is set to sizzle with the greatest number of ships visiting and departing from the region than ever before.
The first of these giant cruise liners to visit our shores is Royal Caribbean’s “Rhapsody of the Seas” scheduled for 9 cruises from October’08 to February’09 to New Zealand, New Caledonia/South Pacific, Tasmania and the Great Barrier Reef.
The Rhapsody of the Seas has dramatic walls of glass and a retractable canopy through which passengers can enjoy vast ocean views before relaxing in the soothing day spa , swimming in one of the whirlpools and enjoying a favourite drink with friends in one of the ships eight lounges. The diverse range of activities on board this recently revamped liner include an outdoor climbing wall, casino, library, indoor and outdoor pools, a live performance theatre and duty-free shopping.
This giant liner weighs in at 78,491 tons, features eight bars and lounges and provides relaxation and fun for all 2,435 passengers onboard and will be a familiar sight docked at the Sydney Harbour’s Passenger Terminal this Australian summer cruise season.
